Felt board activities are a fantastic way to introduce early literacy and math concepts to preschoolers. Here are two poems to include in your winter theme unit.
Snowmen
Five little snowmen standing round my door-
This one melted, and then there were four.
Four little snowmen beneath a green tree-
This one melted, and then there were three.
Three little snowmen all have mittens blue.
This one melted, and then there were two.
Two little snowmen standing in the sun-
This one melted, and then there was one.
One little snowman wanted to run,
But he melted away, and then there was none.
I Am A Snowman
I am a snowman, cold and white.
I stand so still all through the night.
I have a carrot nose way up high.
And a lump of coal to make each eye.
I have a scarf made of red.
And a black hat upon my head.
