Feeling Overworked and Under Appreciated? Try This Tip!

I had a recent conversation with a regular reader and we were discussing feeling overworked and under appreciated.  This experienced home daycare provider and mother of two girls shared her own tip to help herself turn things around when she is feeling overworked. Before I tell you her quick tip and I want to mention she also talked about the fundamentals of good overall health.

Quality sleep, exercise and good nutrition are very important.  I agree completely with this statement even though I’m still trying to figure out how to incorporate the exercise part into my weekly routine.  I wanted to share her tip with you because it is far easier to implement than getting 8 hours of sleep, eating spinach or starting a jogging program.

She uses affirmations to give herself a quick boost!

What a great idea.  It only takes a minute to read a powerful phrase but the message continues to resonate within you afterwards. Words have the power to change your perspective and therefore your feelings towards a situation. Here are a few affirmations I found on Pinterest by Louise Hay that apply to home daycare providers.

I am in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing.

This day is full of miracles.

I do not fix problems, I fix my thinking, then problems fix themselves.

I now do work I love, and I am well paid for it.

I am a magnet for miracles.

I deserve the best, and I accept the best now.

I am deeply fulfilled by all that I do.

I speak and act with a calm, bright heart.

My unique and creative talents and abilities flow through me and are expressed in deeply satisfying ways. My creativity is always in demand.

I am the manager of my life and affairs. I make wise decisions, and everything works out for the best.

Here are a few more I found that I adapted into the home daycare caregiver role.

I am who I want the children in my care to become.

I am an amazing caregiver and the children thrive under my care.

I am forgiving, loving, gentle and kind to the sweet children I look after.

I am a fantastic home daycare provider!

Did reading those affirmations make you feel better?  Did any resonate with you? I encourage you to find one that does speak to your heart and print it off to stick on your fridge.  Seeing and silently reading your affirmation every time you open the fridge is a quick and easy way to create long lasting change in your life. Remember Louise Hay says,……

“Every Thought We Think Is Creating Our Future”

I wish all my home daycare colleagues an amazing day full of patience, energy and laughter.
